Oh yeah, 13 is missing & screws onto 12. It is movable to get the mark on that in line with the advancer mark at 1.8mm btdc but the advancer has to be held open on full advance then get the points just breaking at that moment. But first you need to gap the points--then move them around on the points base plate to get them ready to open at that moment. I'm overcomplicating it but can do it with my eyes shut--50 years ago lol.
I might add that 12 isn't a critical part but just makes it easy to find 1.8btdc instead of having to measure the piston btdc every time you you want to check timing.

You can make a tool for that ( Advance unit ) with a bit of springy wire.

Not sure if people are lazy or not hungry, who invented a 7 day work week and said hey yeah let’s work 5 out of those 7 days, our lives are very very long (sarcasm) let’s spend 85-90% of them making some upper group extremely wealthy while we barely make enough to pay taxes and insurance on everything and the we train our kids to do the same and then we die. The people that came up with those ideas are the Rockefeller’s, Carnegie’s, J.P. Morgan’s that needed a steady supply of workers to make them wealthier and we as a society eat it up as we were trained to get in line and continue the tradition, probably where the saying came from “laughing all the way to the bank”

Eric your points are on the wrong side 180 off your timing would be off because the cam on the governor wouldn’t be firing at 1.8 btdc the enclosed pictures shows a running and estart at2. Someone correct me if I’m wrong been a LONG week

Thank you everyone for your input. I have moved the points to the correct side and connected the wires using another dynamo that I had and it now sparks.
