Head Bolt Torc amount L5t. was created by Noviastar
I thought I saw it some where in my service manual. But reading through didn't see it.
Anyone have a Idea what the Torc is on a 1969 L5t?
Thanks

Gave up looking but knowing the design you'd be safe at 10-ftlb's. I did find something in my many searches with i think was a DT80 which would have same diameter studs & said 85 inch pounds so 7-ftlb's but that's too light in my opinion. I don't use a torque wrench [mine got stolen in 40 years ago lol] good Warren & Brown old style brand too. Just do em up till ya elbow clicks which is about double recommended torque on most things. Nothing ever comes loose--even when ya want it too.
Here's a nut that says for RD200 & has L5T listed as well. But if i find a manual for an RD125 & RD200 if you look closely it show 5 ftlbs for the 125 twin & the same for the 200 twin but in the blurry pring it lists the 200 as 7mm & 5ftlbs is finger tight. I'm wishing i hadn't started haha. I'd still go 10 & see how it feels, Page 4 of the RD200 manual in first link RD200 club. Maybe it's 15ftlbs but looks a bracketed 5 not a 15, but 15 makes more sense to me.

Ah thanks. I stopped at 18Ft lb. only 3 ft lb more. But its got new gaskets. So break in period? Or should I loosen it and do it again? if my math was good 180/12=15.
Thanks Mark.
Thanks Mark.
