Hi I have a 72 DT250 and want to put a 12v system on it and wondered which one everyone would recommend
I have tried Rex's speed shop but they don't do it.

Sorry for being a pedant, but there was no DT250 in 1972 - the model was a DT2. See what happens when you ask for this.

Have you tried VAPE? The only thing I don't like about their kits is the flywheel isn't keyed.

Maybe something like this would work although need the flywheel too. FOTO1971 Bottom Rex's link somewhere in there says used the std flywheel. So DT250 being points ignition, is the std flywheel FOTO1971 & the points cam doesn't matter as does nothing. That's no help with a DT2 flywheel & [may or maynot work or clear the coils]. So--where was i--if you bought this kit & found a FOTO1971 flywheel it could work. All the mags swap over from year one--say "69 to "79 with 250's even though the motor design changed in "74. Not sure about plug & play wiring although both DT2 & DT250 are points mag & wiring originaly.
