Leaking gas tank was created by 77biker

My 1977 Dt 250 gas tank had pin hole rust, so I used a JB Weld product on it a few years ago but is leaking again under the fix. Is that typical for a tank patch? I really cleaned it up well before applying it. Also my tank cream has cracked and is flaking off inside. Got any suggestions?

Take your tank to an old fashioned radiator shop they can boil the coating out we have a local shop who can do it and recoat it with some industrial coating I’ve had it done to my Model A roadster it has held up for years The diy coating just doesn’t  hold up.
It will take your paint off
