This is what my invoice shows, a Yamaha part number. We shall see, if they ever show up. By the way, I'm not blaming Niche for this long shipping time. I ordered the valve and seat set last Sunday, and Monday morning at 9:30 AM got a notification that they had shipped. I paid a little extra for 2 day shipping, so they were supposed to be here last Thursday. This is on the USPS.

I ordered one from Niche last week and it arrived yesterday. Definitely slight casting differences from the valve that was in the carb. I resolved the weeping petcock issue by flipping the rubber petcock valve around. I’m not concerned about the niche float valve. Quality seemed fine.

Here's the gasket in my cheap one. I don't know if it was just misformed, or if it was melting. That channel between the upper and lower right holes is where it was leaking when shut off.

I pulled the gasket out and it is identical on the backside, except it doesn't have those misformations. I put it back together with the good side out, and it does seem to seal now when I blow through it, but I'm glad I got that Yamaha petcock in there.

I've flipped them over on old yamaha taps & mostly get away with it for another go. What's the full size Oring sitting in the hole. Does that fit a groove in the tap operating handle to stop leakage out past the handle.

Yeah the big O ring is to seal the faceplate of the petcock.

Still haven't received a float needle and seat from Niche, so I called them. Apparently this is happening a lot with USPS. Shortages of drivers and other issues, so I'll just wait. He said they'd eventually show up, but if not call and they'll send another set. So my recommendation is just pay for the standard shipping and save a few bucks.

After 9 days my 2-day priority mail float valve assembly finally showed up. The seat body is a little bit longer, but it seems all well made, and when I put it back together the float height is exactly the same as it was. I forgot to look closely for markings all over it, but it looks legit to me, and it seals.
