Nut came out with stud was created by yamahahaha
I finally got around to pullong the head of my AT1E with stuck piston. One on the nuts came out with the stud. Is that an issue. Do they have to be separate when reassembling ??? Or can I just put it back together as is??

Best to double nut the stud and separate before reinstalling (again by double nutting the top of the stud after separating). I would guess there are a few reasons to do this...more even torque values, less stress on the aluminum in the case, ability to inspect the stud and replace if needed, because it was originally installed that way so variables are avoided. Just my two cents.

Thanks that's what I was thinking. Seems like the smart thing to do. Just wanted to get some reassurance I guess
