72 DT2 - no spark

72 DT2 - no spark was created by Hockins

After a long time off, I'm back working on my 72 DT2.    Issue is no spark.  

I had the stator rebuilt by Deet and I've also installed a new coil but I'm still not getting spark.    Not sure where to start trouble shooting or where to connect meter to check voltages etc.  

Can anyone point me to a good tutorial?

first  Are the points opening    Plug cap  could be faulty  Is the kill button shorted,, actually I can't remember if this bike has a kill button  easy stuff first
