 can i identify a bike from the engine no ? i have a very old  yamaha twin bottom end and need to identify it
the engine no is R1-13289  I THINK  i ts a yds but kick start is on the right

Whilst I don't have the info/knowledge, you should be able to identify a bike from the frame and/or engine number(s).

If you could post a photo or two of it (inc one of the number itself), then likely someone will chime in with the info that you're after.

that engine number would be from a 1968 Yamaha YR2 350 twin, they have horizontal split cases, YDS are vertical split cases.
