What a Difference Two Years Makes was created by Tinkicker

Christmas Day 2019.  Missus is at work and I can get the VFR70 restoration finally completed.
Covid?  What's this Covid I hear some people mentioning then?  Two years younger and working on bus engines and transmissions.  Easy pie.

Xmas Day 2019.

Christmas Day 2021.  Missus is at work.  I thought I could get the DT175 restoration finally completed.
Unfortunately the leaking fuel tank put paid to that, so a replacement solid, but very scruffy, hand painted tank found in Germany for a kings ransom.
Panels removed for painting again and my tame motorcycle specialist painter informs me he is not taking any new work on till February...
Thanks to Covid and the lockdown, classic bike restoration has taken off in a big way and he is drowning in work.

Swapped jobs and now working on Heavy Plant - 500 tonne cranes, earthmovers ect. ect, two years older and its far too heavy for me at pushing 60 years.

Xmas Day 2021
Still, it's back on it's own two wheels and occupying the space that the VFR occupied two years ago to the hour.  I forgot just how scary cable operated, front drum brakes are, adjusted very close to the bone and still feels like the cable is made of elastic.

One thing about riding a bike with drum front brakes, you can laugh at nearly every modern motorcycle review which complains about how the supplied modern hydraulic double piston disc brake which isn't their preferred brand, doesn't have good enough stopping power...
