Thank you. Still need to pickup the correct headlight bucket and gauges once I locate them. We’ll see if Babbitts actually has the key switch and chain guard they sold me. Seems too good to be true. All that gold paint miraculously came off leaving the original red. I think I’ll leave it for a while

Cool bike adguy. I'm not sure on the differences between the 70 and 71, but I am going to be selling a complete headlight bucket, ears, chrome bits, and the gauges off a 71. Also the ignition switch, handle bar switch, chain guide, and the rear twilight. I'm going to be building an Early Sportsman Stock class bike MX bike.
Question authority, think for yourself!

Awesome! I'll PM you! Definitely need all that shenanigans. I have a line on a guy that has the entire parts dept. from a shuttered Yamaha dealership. Hoping it's legit.

Clutch levers and cables get a good workout and the actuator behind the counter shaft cover is famous for failing. Thread above is a good read and probably the most recent of many on the site.
Your DT1 C looks great.

Here's some inspiration for you on what could be. The red 1970 DT-1 is a beautiful Yamaha.
