Restoring an old CT3. The stop switch does not retract on it's own.Went to 2fastmoto but there were sold out of the aftermarket version. Is there a way to take this apart and fix or is it just best to replace?

You could buy a different (cheaper!) type and just swap over the spring and rod. The thin wire is easily bent, so that you can remove it from the hole in the new switch and replace with your existing one.

Any leads on other aftermarket versions. 2fastmoto had a nice one but they were out.

Will most 2 wire set ups work as long as long as they mount properly. I am looking at a K&L .

Pretty much any generic switch that fits the mount could do the job .

If this is the rear brake switch i'm sure i tried swapping spring & rod on one --maybe not yamaha--& it shot up inside when i took the spring off, so be careful.
