Handle bars looks a bit wonky... Looks to be a great project bike!

I assume you are located in Canada? On your bike the graphics on the fuel tank and oil tank would correspond to a 1975 DT400B for the US models. I know you are very familiar with the big bore bikes especially the the DT400, I’m curious if the Canadian models graphics were different for the 75-76 years. I have also seen 1975 DT250’s factory painted competition yellow vs. the Portuguese orange we got in the US.

That's a good question I would like to know the answer as well Lizeec.
The first thing I noted was the top short bar on the tank, as mine has,
I for one certainly wouldn't have been able to resist either, nice score !
Have often thought how nice one would look along side my 250... Never
ridden one, but am guessing the extra 150cc's are noticeable ! Hope all
goes well, keep us updated.

Very nice find!

What model camera again?  I'd like to get one.  Maybe it will make my wonky bikes look straight!!!

I wish this phone could straighten bars and fenders. It would have saved me a lot of work and money.  Doug  o

OK here are more pics after I got it home. This is why I resist the temptation to kick these bikes over unless the bike has actually been running. The guy told me he was driving it last year.  Whatever, I know what Im getting into and this one has a lot of good things.  Good seat pan and foam, pretty good tank, as you can see the pulser has 95 ohms which is really good and it has a nice straight rear fender although it is spider cracked around the single mount hole and it has a very good and totally functioning throttle cable.  Somebody built a really sturdy rear rack for it. It isnt the prettiest but it can hold a lot of weight.  Not sure what the shocks are but maybe   boge/mullholland.  They seem to work and they are an inch longer than stock.  It has stock tires but they are badly weather cracked along sidewalls.  I will get bike running and test drive it and then change tiresOK here are more pics after I got it home.
