1974 Yamaha dt125a was created by Crabman

Hello. I’m a newbi!
I have a 1974 Yamaha DT125A. I just finished getting I back in running condition. Runs great! The specs say it will go 65mph.  Not sure about that!
My question……if I change out the primary drive gear from 15 teeth to 16 or 17
will that increase the speed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Im happy to be a new member to the group.
Dan.

According to Capt. Dave, going down one tooth on that model actually gives you a higher top speed.
