Try as hard as I could, the acetone just found its way to the paint

It wasn’t a good paint job and I’ve found out the decals where for a B and mines a C, so here goes a new paint job to add to the list, by the time I get to ride this soul destroyer it will be winter again

That’s a bummer! Very messy job no matter how carefully done. Have you got most of the liner out? Did you try the sand/rags/acetone step? I’d be interested to know if that works as well on another liner as it did on mine. Looks like some rust in there. I’m still using the evaporust I had in my tank to clean up other small parts on the bike-stuff is amazing.

I’m still using a couple of handful of screws atm, I don’t think I’ll need to use the rag and grit method as my tank is fairly smooth on the inside with no real edges.

But boy, does this acetone evaporate quick, first soak I did leave the cap off and I noticed a lot went then, this is all that’s left after a week of soaking, emptying then reusing.
