Am I the only one?? was created by dwil4

I dont think have ever saw this color. Was it a USA option? I did just turn 50 so I was a kiddo in the 70's and I dont believe I ever saw any Yamaha Enduro back then. Only Honda XL's.

This '73 XS650 color and design were superb.
I have owned 14 XS650's but this one has somehow escaped me !
The Yamaha color is "Metallic Flake Blue", code F5.

Howdy.
Not sure exactly what you are requesting.  I am always prepared with photos.
As I mentioned, "I have owned...." is past-tense.  I have pics of most or all of the XS650's I have owned, but I currently own 4 of them, as I indicate in my signiture, below.
Want to see pics of them?  They are all licensed and on the road.

Kevin (2FISHKEV) asked to see a few pics of my XS650's, so here you are:

This is my 1976 resto mod which I purchased for $500 8 years ago , rescued from a barn.  I did all the work, including the paint job and the photograph.  It was an XS650.com Calendar Girl a couple years back. I forgot which month, June maybe. Regularly ridden. Has a vintage Dyna electronic ignition.

Another XS650.com  Calendar girl, (2017?), a 1975 all original bike.  I got it running well, installed a Pamco electronic ignition.

These are my "Twins",  a 1983 and 1982 XS650 Heritage Specials, mostly original without the factory "apehangers" and with pinstriping added by me.

Can I play?

1974 TX650A totally rebuily by moi, with original, but not too bad paint. Full rebuild.
!978 XS650E, original tank paint, chromed side panels (by a P.O.). I've added dual discs and brace.
Done the usual taper bearings and bronze bushings as well as freshen the motors up.

Very cool bikes! I never realized there was such a following for those bikes. I drove around on a Kawasaki KZ750 twin cylinder in the early 80's I wonder if there is a following for those bikes as well? Great! Now after reliving my youth through some of these DT enduros and MX's and YZ's I'm starting to look at Kawasaki KZ 750's and the Kawasaki H2 750's widowmaker and GPZ 1100's all bikes I rode around on and drag raced in the 70's and 80's when I worked at a Kawasaki dealer.

Yamadude and nhsteve, great bikes!! Really enjoy looking at them. I’m glad to see that they’re being preserved and ridden. They take well to minor modifications and updating, just like the 2 stroke enduros. Of course, bone stock original, they hold up too! I just don’t get tired of looking at that motor, ever. Classic design similar to the British singles and twins From wwll on.
Don’t forget the Kawasaki w1 and w2s either. Not entirely sure of those designations. The Honda twins deserve honorable mention too.
If I had room, I’d have a project bike waiting in the wings. For me, it’ll be necessary to start swapping bikes out in order to have one. Thanks again for showing them off!
