Yamaha TY250 (?) part id help needed please. was created by Gr8uncleal
This little chap came to me in a box of random parts that I picked up. However, as you will see from the photos, part of the part number on the packaging has been rubbed away and I'm struggling to identify what it is.
It looks like the part number starts 434, which is the model code for a 1974 TY250. I looked through the screens on Partzilla but couldn't see anything like it.
It looks to me a little bit like a spacer, but it is too small to be for a wheel.
Length is about 25.5mm, outside diameter is 14mm, reducing to just over 13mm in the central groove and inside diameter is 10mm.
The staples sealing the packet were quite rusty, which would lead me to think that it probably hadn't been mis-labelled - not impossible though.
Thanks for any light that you might be able to shine!

I'm not sure if that's the part number... Can you tell if there's any numbers above the bar code?
Looks like a bushing of some kind... brake lever shaft or something like that maybe?

Thanks Mark - I see what you mean.
There is something above the bar code, but it's either covered in dirt or rubbed away.
Maybe I should start a new thread "How to clean dirt off paper without ruining it"!
I tried reading it from the other side, but only the "Yamaha" and "Yamaha Motor Co Ltd" can be seen - these were probably printed as blank labels in dark ink and then the specific details regarding the contents added later.
