Ive had another look today and the sealing area is rubber, are these inserts available to buy

Yamaha used an external check valve on some models and some have used them. I haven't.

I seen a repair kit on yam bits that had the actual seat with it, listed for an SR500, so wondering if they used the same part for all pumps, no dimensions though

part number for the seat 583-13113-00-00 xt500 sr500 etc not sure though if the same as the dt

Yes I believe the 8CH check valve goes on outlet side of pump.
