Looking for some pictures of the centerstand that was optional for the 79 IT175. 
I believe it was in the owners manual, but I no longer have one to check. Would
love to have some pictures, or if you happen to have the parts, a tracing of the
spring bracket would be awesome! 

I wish I had one.  Someone here did a few years ago he was considering parting out...   I asked but he wouldn't sell the center stand. 

This is the only picture I have.  I believe there is an owner's manual for a 77 or 78 in the Tech Library here.

If I remember correctly, it was pretty simple.  There was a welded bracket on the frame under the engine that a pin goes through.  Then there was a lug to connect the spring to on the crossbar about where the pegs are located.  Those two features came from the factory, the frame was "stand ready", you didn't have to add anything but the pin, stand, and spring.

Here's a pic I found on the Internet...  top arrow (S) points to what I think was the spring lug and bottom arrow points to the bracket that holds the stand.

There might have been a spring bracket...  it's been a few decades since I've seen one with a center stand in person.  I have an IT frame in storage and I'll try to remember to check next time I'm there.  I am sure the stand bracket was welded to frame at the factory...  maybe not on the early models though?  My frame is an early 77...  I don't remember if it has the bracket. 

Mark, I think the bracket was somewhat L shaped and was a separate piece.
Memory ain't what is used to be and is not getting any better, LOL!
