o78 DT400 Main Bearing Case issues was created by DaytonaBarnFind

While rebuilding the engine, I notices the Crank Bearing races on both sides of the case are loose. Has anyone had these re-machined?  I tried to use some locktite 620, but am not sure I want to trust that, but it seems to have solved the problem, but will it last? I included a pic, not sure it's going to upload.  Thanks in advance.

If its like a lot of yamahas after a certain year where the alloy ring cast somehow separately into the case [with an overlaping edge to trick you so you can't see it easily] has come loose then idealy get some good case. The older 360 & 250 up to "73 had steel inserts that luckily never failed.

Has anyone had a machine shop repair this issue? If so, who did it and how much?
