can i use this oil for DT250MX ? was created by Ringostar1982

Hi Folks,
i need to refill my gearbox and have some oils here and need to know if i can use them in my DT250MX 1978.
I just drive in summer at about 20 C°.
  1. RAVENOL mineral engine oil 20w-40 API SN/JASO MA/MA2
  2. MOTUL mineral engine oil 20w-50 API SF/CC
  3. RAVENOL Formel Extra SAE 20W-50 API SF/CD
  4. MOTUL TRANSOIL EXPERT 10W-40 Gearbox API GL-4 oil
  5. ADDINOL Gearbox oil GL 80W SAE 80W API GL-3
  6. RAVENOL Formel Standard SAE 10W-30
What do you think, can I use one or some of them or do you recommend another?
Thank you very much!

Wait for others to confirm, but pretty sure that the top one is the only one suitable for wet clutches (need to be JASO MA2).

How long have the oils been standing?

From that list, my first choice by far would be #4, Motul Transoil.

#4 and #1 are the two that are definitely okay.  Some of the others "might" be okay to use, my German isn't that good and it's impossible for me to say if they might have "slippery" additives (mandated by law In the US for most 4 stroke engine oils sold here) that could affect the clutch.

P.S.  If selecting an oil with a JASO wet clutch rating, I prefer the JASO MA spec over MA2.  Generally a JASO MA-rated oil is a motor oil with some anti-friction additives for the engine (for a shared transmission and engine oil supply 4 stroke) but is still suitable for wet clutches.  Many four stroke motorcycle oils in the US do not spend the money for actual JASO certification but say "suitable for wet clutches" which is fine.

The oils are not that old. Otherwise I wouldn’t try to use them.
Number 1 is was using until now. So that’s good to hear.
This one I had used in my Yamaha XT600 but that beauty is sold and I regret.
Number 4 I also use in the Aprilia RS from 1994.

thanks for the advice.
