77 Dt 250 set timing on a bike that wont start.

Ok that's good, ya almost there. I can hear the ring ding noise. I'd go a little less than 16 but at least ya good to go now. Look forward to some good news next time.

Please be sure the flywheel nut is Tight or it'll be a problem.
Need a solid hold.
I'll post a pic of mine which might be overdoing it but you'll get the idea. They make a mess of the shaft it things let go. Pic coming if i can find it.

Yeah I have it torqued to spec already. We have the same flywheel holder. works on sprockets too. Hell I even tightened it down as hard as I could and used it on the center part of a clutch in lieu of the correct tool.

@RT325 shees with that extension bar setup I'm surprised you didnt crack the nut!

Original nut is a long one so not easily damaged.
Not sure if nuts come in different trensile strengths like bolts do, but if so i'd say originals must be of high tensile material.
