1972 AT-2 / it cylinder was created by husky250

I went through all of this back in February but the scamdemic has everything so backlogged I've been told not to even think about a piston this year. I have a 1972 Yamaha AT-2. I'm setting it up as a vintage xc bike. I did way more research than I care to admit and have been told that a mid 70's it175 cylinder will bolt on (in the same manner that it will bolt on to a trimoto 125). Therefore I have procured a (whatever70's) it175 cylinder and am planning on getting a piston, which I've been told, will bolt on the the at's rod and turn the 125 to a 175. I have read at least one thread on here to that effect and am trying to do about the same mods as that gentleman has. My local shop said no way I'm getting one this year (it was ordered in February). I was hoping someone on here had an idea where it pistons could be had sometime in the next 6 months. I've been down this road before with my kdx and my 200x and it finally worked out. So what say you Yamaha aficionados? Am I at the mercy of my local shop's supplier or do I have another option?

IT cylinder won't fit i'm sorry to say. Here's a "77 model to compare with a CT3.

I answered you in the other thread you started on this.  Including where to get a piston once you figure out what you actually have....  and the IT175 cylinder will not fit any AT/CT/DT
