Hi, all.
I am the new owner of a 1975 DT 175.  I am in need of a new 6 volt headlight.  All I have been able to find are some very pricey NOS on ebay.  Is there a good replacement?

I bought mine at NAPA auto parts, around $10.00. '74 DT 360, 6-volt, 30 watt. I can check the number, I believe it is LB-1040.

Looking for he NAPA box it the disaster area called a shop. I checked online NAPA and could not find 6-volt 30 watt sealed beam. I know that I ordered one recently and picked it up, Need to locate box or info off of box. get back to you.

If you still have the original and it is the style shown in my link, then consider trying this repair.

Others have replaced the bulb with a led one.

6-volt, 30 wat, sealed High/low beam #4020. Bought mine at NAPA $10.31.

Yes, 4020 will fit the 78 400

Thank you for looking.  I called NAPA and they told me I would need to go to a bike shop.  I would be incredibly grateful if you found a part number and source!

NAPA LMP 4020N
I just picked this one up this morning at my local NAPA and it fits and works great. I put a ring of hot glue where the bulb hits the metal frame and squished it in so there's a little vibration dampening.

I’ve found different levels of help at Napa stores. One store said they can’t get that bulb but another brought out a headlight catalog and found the 4020 bulb right away. They still had to order it but It was in the next day.
