I recently contacted a bone yard about some parts for the CT1 175  i am working on. He got back with me and sent me a picture of a Yamaha he is parting out and wanted to know if there was anything i needed.  I took one look at the picture and told him i would buy the complete bike. Way to nice to part out!  He said no, it's worth more in parts then it is complete! Check this bike out.   
What a shame!
 

I hate to see bikes like that get parted out. But he is probably right........$$$$

On the bright side there are lots of individuals who can bring their projects to life with the parts. Still pisses me off that a beautiful piece of historical machinery is reduced to its parts due to greed. 

I am against parting out such a fine example.  However, it is his machine, and 'some must die, so that others might live'.

See that just sickens me .

You didn't say if you asked him what the sum of all the parts was that he was looking for. Maybe $2500!

I will tomorrow. i am going there looking for parts for the CT1 and my Honda C100. I will take a look at it. Not worth $2500.00 to me.
