What country are you in?  Most info available is for US models and if you have the bike in the picture it's definitely not a US model.  We never got a monoshock 100.  All twin shock...  even the 1990's RT100 trail bike we got (a DT in other countries) was a twin shock.

I'm working on a 23F monoshock as well, though quite a bit older than yours. I think this one was bought new in 1988. Caribbean dealer, I know they used to get South American versions of Yamahas so I'm thinking mine is the SA version too. Has sat the last 25 years in a shed and it shows. Indicators and mirror are later additions, both would have been round originally I believe. Original seat is under the cover, need reupholstering but foam surprisingly good.

I don't think yours is the 1983 DT100K that was sold in the US with the 23F serial number. Yours looks 90s to me.

Would love to know if you find any parts manuals and/our other info at all on this bike, I've searched high and low as well. It's like this bike doesn't exist on the internet. And some parts numbers that I know don't show up anywhere. I believe the model number in the bottom left corner of the Yamaha parts manual is 23F200 if that helps, but I can't find a copy anywhere.

I have stripped this back to the frame and am now getting everything ready for the rebuild. Happy to share some pics if it helps.

Welcome!

1983 USA DT100K model was a 3A3 code.

"23F" was definitely not a USA model...  my guess is it's a Yamaha Brazil model.  Engine is likely very close to the late 70's/early 80's DT100.  Manual should be in the Tech Library.

I probably said this already, but US didn't get a monoshock DT100 ever as far as I know.  All were twin shock.  Even the US RT100 trail bike from the 1990's which should also be very close to the same engine.

Frame should be very similar to later early 80's US DT175 or 1990's RT180 except maybe a little smaller.

I found a copy of the parts catalog for the 23F DT100 and scanned it in, if you’re still looking for one. Sent a copy to the site admin here a few months ago but don’t see it posted yet. If you are still looking send me a PM and I’ll email you a copy.
