Vintage Yamaha Enduro Rumblings
And when you have arrived as an experienced old hand.
|A series of monographs taken from a 1970's vintage Motorcycle Industry Council Publication given out to new off road motorcycle purchasers by dealers. We will be publishing the entire pamphlet here.
If you stay with the game long enough, put on all kinds of miles in all sorts of weather, over all types of terrain, in all seasons, you'll get to be a grizzled
old woods rat yourself. lt' s a satisfying experience to ride the trails doing the right things automatically, taking in the bigger picture of your surroundings without that constant staring at the ground just ahead.
Maybe you'll have gotten into the competitive scene in a big way, and your growing skills have earned the respect of your competitors. Perhaps you've chosen to explore wide and far, and your knowledge of trails has become encyclopedic. Maybe you're organizing rides for others, taking them over familiar routes, or setting up enduros with all their public relations impact.
You'll be at home in the woods, on the trails, with other users, landowners, forestry officials. Your bike will be a familiar friend, you'll know ifs every habit, its needs, its capabilities.
Whatever your satisfaction has come to be in this trail riding sport, remember then back to where you are now. And when you recall how much you've had to learn, think about passing some of it on to a new rider!
And this post brings us to the end of our story. We have published the entire book that was presented to new dirt bike purchasers back in the 70's. You can download a PDF of the entire book from our Technical Library at THIS LINK! Thanks for following along!
