Hey guys I picked up this 81 xt250
I have been looking for something to do some local trails on.
I originally brought the CT3 Thinking I would take that into the bush but now I'm over part way through the build with the 175 I don't really want to beat it up been that they are getting quite hard to find in my country.

So I'm confident if it's up to Rambos expectations then it should definitely do the job lol I was originally looking for a 500 but this should do just fine.
I found very limited information that someone managed to put a 500 engine in a 250 frame...?

Needs a few things to be put back on the road but I'm quite excited on the journeys it will take me on!

Does anyone on here have a good copy of the service bulletin Yamaha brought out about the xt regards getting more oil to the top end?

I saw your other post... I just don't have enough recent experience with the reed valve models from 72-76 to know for sure exactly what's right.

The gear alignment looked good and I didn't think the basket play was too bad.
