At those prices it pays to learn fabrication skills. Also in the day, few companies understood how two stroke exhausts function. The shape of those exhausts is telling. Most of today's understanding starts around circa 1990s when Prof. Gordon P. Blair published his book.

THose pipes are not out of line for price , But the Hooker is a bit high , Nos vintage stuff is normally pricey any way

Professor Blair of Queen's University in Belfast did a ton of research and may have pioneered computer modeling of the two-stroke engine. His work changed many of the "theories" in common practice.

His books and papers are extremely technical.

Jennings (and later Bell) wrote books that are far more practical and easier to understand for us mere mortals without advanced engineering, physics, and math skills.

But the other books are not on the same level as Blair... he really did change two stroke design.
