Not sure if this will work either but here is link to "acisbest" closed ebay auctions.

www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=&_in_kw=1&_...d=1&_ipg=50&_fosrp=1

Here's pics of the closed auctions... seller is making other rare parts including the later monoshock 400 cover

And trying link to original thread:

Anyone heard any feedback on the reproduction pieces yet? That right side one went for $92, left for $41.

I'm not sure what browser or whatever you're using... There's an "address bar" at the top of Firefox, Edge, Chrome, etc... I highlight and copy/paste everything in that box.

Same with ebay auctions... or YouTube. With ebay and YouTube somehow this site magically imbeds the auction ad or YouTube video.

Thanks everyone. I was searching for "Side Panels" and they are listed as "Side Covers". Now I know what to search for. Are 1976 and 1975 the same cover? There is a 1976 one listed but doesn't show that is compatible with a 1975. This is my first Yamaha bike I'm a Kawasaki guy. I love this DT 400 though. Can't wait to get on the road. Will have more questions about other parts that are not working.

For any part for any of the big four Japanese bike manufacturers, go to the website for CMSNL or Partzilla, follow your nose to the model you are looking for, then to the part and select it. Scroll down a little and both sites will show which models that part was used on. For bikes of this era, both sites' databases are likely limited to US models only. That being said, a lot of parts are common between different markets and if you can get hold of a parts manual for your own country/region, then that can be used for confirmation of common fitments.

As I am in the UK, I tend to use CMSNL - they are in Holland. They also have photos of a lot of parts, even if they don't have them in stock. You can search for a European/UK part number in their main search field, after selecting "Motorcycle", then "Yamaha" (or Suzuki etc).

I would recommend doing your research on what a part looks like before buying it - use photos from CMSNL and internet images in general. A lot of sellers don't actually know what they are selling and so parts are mis-described, usually accidently. I have done this once myself and have just got a tacho for a RD400C (one off year, so quite rare) quite cheap, as it was advertised as being for a RD125DX in error.

In answer to your question, yes, the side panel off a 1976 DT400 will fit the DT250, DT360 and DT400 from 1974, 1975 and 1976 - just check that this is what the vendor actually has!

Sorry for rambling and good luck!
