Found what I think was a aftermarket skid plate for a Pursang, Had to modify to fit Frontera which has a center stand. I saw an old photo of a guy doing a wheelie on a Pursang, looked very similar, and welding looks professional.

I was able to get the head temp sensor under the compression release, I didn't think it would fit.

I mounted a universal side stand, Its made for swingarms that are round, Frontera isn't. So I attached to the frame, where its at it will hit rocks if I get in a precarious situation, but the type of riding I do now, I go around the hard stuff. Its really cool though, it's reversible. I want to thank Jeff and Terry if you're listening, they own Euro Cycles in Orangevale Ca. He said if I could get it to fit I could have it, he probably did know I can get anything to fit.

Also Im looking for an swingarm with the side stand bracket, also the later models the lower shock mount was about 1-in back. As far I can tell the only Frontera 143 that had side stands were late 75's and 76. In 1975 my friend bought one and I did in 76, his didn't and mine did. This bike is a low vin, 000370, last vin was 002861, according to cemoto.tripod.com/list.html

MDScott: Sorry this is a little of topic but I've been looking for a compression release to install in the head of my DT400C but can't seem to find one, can you please point me in the right direction? I'll also need to have the head milled to accept the compression release but I imagine a machine shop can do that. Thanks!

NP, go on eBay and type in search box, "vintage compression release", there's quite a few on there. Dont buy a used one, might be stuck and not seal.

Side stand on, also found an aftermarket exhaust. Not sure of the brand, I bought a Bassani pipe for my original Bul, so could be that. No markings on the pipe, needs dents taken out. Its about 1/4 weight of the OEM pipe.
I had a suggestion for removing the dents, pressurize the pipe and apply heat to the dents.

Took the aftermarket pipe apart, peeking down the pipe it looks reminiscing of the infamous Dave Meis Sleeper Pipe. I hope Dave doesn't get sued over copyright infringement. :beerchug

Had to weld on a new bracket, the other one had broken. This is on the aftermarket pipe.
