I found out some good news, when cylinder was off to bore I noticed the number 136 stamped. 136 is a Pursang 360 MK8 74-76, the Frontera is nice low end torque, Pursang is more top end HP, I didn’t want to lose bottom end torque . Apparently they use the same cylinder, the only difference is the Pursang has a high compression twin plug head, and different designed expansion chamber. I have the oem pipe and the Frontera head. So this was good news.

Yes that was one of the things I liked that Bultaco did. When you bought a cylinder you knew what bike it was for or from

Well I started the bike up and running, few laps around the block filling neighborhood with smoke doing a mosquito abatement. I though I was going to foul a plug, glad I put in a hot plug. I'll post some videos running. Need to do something about the brakes, real bad. New shoes and lubed where needed. Bultaco FB guys gave me some ideas, including levers with more leverage, one guy likes clutch lever off a KX250 1986-2007 . Also the carb needs a stronger spring, parked revving engine high sometimes it doesn't return to idle, didn't happen when riding bike.
Otherwise runs great, all gears, all metal clutch ok.

Got the brakes working much better, put I a longer stiffer carb slide spring, polished the slide, so all good so far.
