Mark, that the CL450 (DOHC) and SL350 were my dream bikes early in high school.  Congrats, I have never owned a twin which surprises me everytime I think about it.

Nice project! A CL 350 or 450 is on my wish list along with a SL350. A neighbor friend recently passed and I'm hoping I'll be able to buy his 71 SL350.

Good luck Kenny, the SL350s I have seen are not cheap.

I'm debating what to do with the bike, because it's mostly complete a restoration may be the good choice. I could sell it as is and make a quick buck, part it out and make more than if I restored the bike. When I purchased the bike I was told only a BOS, so I wasn't going to deal with the DMV, AGAIN. But when I got the bike home the pink slip fell out of the service manual he gave me, so now is the debate.
The pink was signed off in 2012, last registration in 1986.
Thanks Mark

If the exhaust is solid, it's worth a lot alone.

MArk, try the DMV fee calculator, all you need is the last 5 of the VIN and plate number, If it's still in the DMV books, you'll find out if it was non-op'd or if there are $860 of back fees like my DT1.

Key is not just that the pink slip was signed off...  but did anyone fill out their name as a buyer?  As long as buyer is completely blank, you should be fine.  It's old enough that it's almost certainly off the books.
