Was a very good watch! surprised to see that the 250 still kept pushing on after running on straight gas for hours!

Agreed! That poor DT1 held up remarkably well in punishing conditions. Great video though silly to carry the bikes across pavement, We got the point.

I winced when he tossed the front fender aside due to packing up with mud. I wonder if they really left the fender there in the field. I had that exact model Honda 350 and it never started as easy as that one did. My boys always laugh and remind me of the time I left it out in the backwoods stuck in the snow when I couldn’t get it started. I wasn’t about to push the pig home in the snow, and either would anyone else. It started when I went back a few days later.

“silly to carry the bikes across pavement”, can’t ride across the lava, tyres would melt.

Went out for a ride on my C today with a buddy and we were chatting about this and laughing that we would be just as committed to keeping the tyres of of the asphalt.

I enjoyed this video. I love the idea of riding an adventure like this, but I would not have carried the bike across the roads. That was silly to me, but good on em for doing it the way they wanted.

I too cringed when they threw the fender away. I was impressed that the DT kept running after soft seizing that many times. It wasn't running on straight gas as the pump would still be pumping oil, just not enough.

I had heard stories about the cable coming off the pump pulley if the retainer wasn't in place, but I'd never seen it actually happen.

Good video.

That rebuild video is fantastic, they did a great job with the sound too, very relaxing to watch.
