I wonder if those "modern" mono-shock enduros will catch on, or is it just a fad. Time will tell.

Don't blow those bulbs now!! running with a flat or disconnected or empty battery. It'll be ok & have a bulb saving regulator by that model i'd think. Just that i observed the neutral light & something red--oil tank low level light maybe. All good, ignore me lol & good score. Something super exciting about a bike arriving you bought without being there. Reminds me of my 490 from California to NZ although that wasn't all good.

Hi Pete - it looks and sounds fantastic. The same colour and stickers as my first bike - a 1978 DT50.

Phil it's pretty cool.
You need to get your DT out and come take a look.
Interesting learning the differences between the years and also the German spec vs UK spec.
Not too sure what the plan is for it yet.
Have ordered tyres and tubes, brake shoes, wheel bearings, air filter and battery.
Also, ordered a Big One tailpipe for no other reason than nostalgia because my original DT had a Fresco (now Big One) tailpipe.

Alan, I hear what you're saying and have treated myself to a CB500X.
Such a different riding experience.
Went to Loomies Cafe today with Bernie (Agop) and quite rightly no one even glanced at it, last time I went on the CT1-C and spent about 1 1/2 hours chatting about the bike.
I've squeezed it into the garage with my CT1-C and AT1-C for company, but long term I think the AT1 will have to go.
The Greenie and The C are definate keepers, I wish I had more space
