Due to the extraordinary growth of the membership and resources, we are once again bumping up against hosting limits. I am working on a fix. In the meantime, the forum should function, but you won’t be able to attach images. Working as fast s we can to fix. Thanks for your patience. - Makotosun

REPAIR BUSINESS was created by asco

After a slow period this year April - May - June this year and a few whoops on the track business has improved and successes have been the normal..

When things are going well - is the best time to thank those individuals who helped, advised, and rooted for this difficult obsession.

Certain Members have been very much like Yama-Tudors. If I didn’t show gratitude before I am showing it now.

Sold my Leased Truck, bought something else for cash, got myself in position to put the business in front of everything.

Gary B. gave me a referral, which led to another recent  success.

WE DO THINGS OUR WAY AT YAMA-LAND -

“THE BIKES THAT LEAVE THE SHOP ARE PREPPED THE EXACT SAME WAY THEY WOULD BE — IF WE WERE RIDING THEM OURSELVES.”

I believe this is the first time in Yama-History I have purchased two bikes at the same time. Customers call often wanting to sell their bikes and occasionally I will grab a bike to put into rotation ( very slow rotation ) to get running and re-home. These two should be delivered today, customer is searching for titles and has a few spare parts ( Yamaha Dial Indicator ) and a NOS Trail Sport Tire.
I believe them to be AT1-C - CT1-B.
Looking forward to today.

The bad news is the CT1 fuel tank needs to be chemical dipped. It was half full of disgusting fuel and has a few pinholes on the front left upper side. They should be able to be silver soldered with a mini torch after proper dipping. I got a minimum quote of $95.00 in Chatsworth, CA.. It weighs more than a normal empty tank…

I listed the AT1 on Craig’s List without the fuel tank for what I believe to be a reasonable price with a title. I won’t get to that bike until 01/2023 at the soonest.

$650.00 cash should be obtainable?

Asco scored a 68’ DT1 today 08/28/2022. The previous owner was UNCLE DON. The seller brought out some additional parts that were at his dads place. His father was involved with a 1969 AT1. It was a good unexpected day here at Yama-Land Restoration.

Nice one Asco.
I like to read things like this. Often as i say it , i would love to come to the States but having watched some travel stuff on Wyoming ,Idaho and Montana i probably wouldn't come home. I think certain parts of the US is good to start that type of business as you seem to have a never ending supply of bikes and parts.

Sold two bikes.
Bought four more in short order.
If one does not capitalize _ one will surely capitulate.

I needed to make a important decision on the new bike Uncle Don. I simply don’t have the money to put all the correct impossible to find parts.
$500 tach
$800 pipe
Etc.

Slated for 2024 an entire busy year. We’re going to build a Flat Track bike probably with 1971 triple clamps and forks.

I truly believe this to be the very best option other than $10K. My bike cost average is $3K. There will be no permanent frame modifications made, just polished Akront’s front and rear. I have a fresh Black Dot oil pump straight out of the DEET Time Machine, this bike will be Auto-Lube.
