Spotted on Vermont CL . Cheapskate puts it in the "motorcycle parts" section, probably because CL now charges $5 to put it in the "motorcycles" section. Not mine.

Just posting for interest.

Doesn't look bad. Asking $4400.   nh.craigslist.org/mpo/d/cabot-1972-yamaha-dt250/7283154070.html

It is awesome. I had my eye on it since Nov or early Dec 2020 I think. I can't say 100% because the pics have been swapped in this new listing. I do think it is the same one that has been for sale for a while. I am trying to find a slightly more crusty (affordable) DT2 and this one kept popping up to remind me of my poverty when I searched ME, NH VT for DT2.

I'm not sure "your poverty" is an issue with that one...  It looks pretty nice but seems to be priced a couple of thousand more than it's probably worth.  It has a few mods like the front wheel and fender and is missing the turn signals...  It's the original bikes with the correct parts that tend to get those kinds of prices.  The close up of the muffler also makes it look like it could be a "lipstick on a pig" bike...  looks like fresh glossy paint was sprayed on.
Since for sale for a while you might consider showing up with a reasonable cash offer in hand.  You never know.  Also, looking at it in person might make you realize you were lucky you didn't have as much as they are asking in your budget.

In Pa. ,for that price, it would have to be all original for me. When buying, Wife always tells me to disconnect the adrenaline before I open my wallet She claims it saves us both money.
