Picture Attachment problem (09 Jul 2022)

Due to the extraordinary growth of the membership and resources, we are once again bumping up against hosting limits. I am working on a fix. In the meantime, the forum should function, but you won’t be able to attach images. Working as fast s we can to fix. Thanks for your patience. - Makotosun

All,

Mines boring; got the nickname BFH early on in law enforcement, shortened to Hammer when I started working the Border. With my last name (Hamersly) ,it's a natural as well.

Replied by Yamahadick on topic Explain Your User Name

My real name is Rick Johnsen, No not the 80's Honda MX champ but have been asked if I am him. I only let certain people close to me call me Dick, Otherwise I will give you the finger. Since I have been riding Yamahas since the 70's and like collecting and restoring them I guess I just consider myself a Yamaha Dick. For years I have sold new and used parts on Ebay under Lakesvintagecycle, This spring I discontinued that Hobby/business due to the covid shipping crisis, Suppliers running out of product, Exorbant Ebay fees and rules, and 1099's from PayPal all of a sudden showing up at tax time. Happy Riding and collecting you Yamaha folks out there!! Rick From Minnesota

Replied by Midlife Motor on topic Explain Your User Name

I did not begin riding motorcycles until I was 44 years old as part of a "midlife" deal. At 45 years old I was a twenty year police veteran and decided to test for our motor unit. I went through motor school as a relatively old man in that world and made it through, becoming "Midlife Motor".
It's better to remain silent and be considered a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Replied by Jimmy Pascol on topic Explain Your User Name

Jimmy Pascol b/c my name is Jimmy. And Pascol is how most people butcher my last name on pizza deliveries, etc. What I need is user names AND passwords for everybody's Ebay, AMZN and bank accounts.

The world has reduced each of us and our lives to a bunch of random letters and numbers. I coulda been somebody.
