Sadly with age , some of the " offs " we would once have walked away from ,
have more serious consequences . On a positive note , It sounds like you have been quite lucky ,
as it could have very easily been a much worse outcome . Speedy recovery .

RT325, I owe you an apology. As a fairly 'newbie' to this forum I am still finding my way round the various nuances and ways of interacting with members threads. Somehow I have accidentally pressed on one of the 'stars' used for rating the thread. Please accept my apologies as I would never even think of rating someones thread when the content involves personal injuries. Instead, along with so many of the other members I wish you a full and speedy recovery. From experience I know the older I get the less well I 'bounce'. Keep your threads coming too as I like the style with which they are written. Andy.

ANDY L, don't worry, to be honest i've never noticed the star rating so hope i've not hit one on a post & hadn't noticed this one either lol.
