Well that was quite the ordeal. Glad you backed out of the sale, sounded like a cluster f**k.

If the deal sounds too good to be true it usually is, seller screwed up first off promising what he did, and no one in their right mind will drive 7-8 hours for gas and a cheeseburger only for a $300.00 sale.

On the flip side no one should expect some one to drive 7-8 hours for gas and a cheeseburger on a $300.00 purchase even if that was what was offered, in my opinion that is taking advantage of someone that may not be stable minded. If it is something you yourself would not be willing to do for someone you should not expect someone to do it for you.

His description of the bike doesn’t match his pictures, that bike doesn’t look like it runs as he says it does, obviously the guy is not playing with a full deck and that is probably why you are #5 on backing out. You probably saved yourself a lot of hassles and possibly a 7-8 hour trip for this numb nuts to probably not even show up.

I agree that if it looks to good to be true that it usually is, however, I know I'm protected so I had nothing to loose and everything to gain. Every deal I do on Ebay I prepare to be burned and prepare accordingly. I have 100% + feedback. I would not have bid if he had not offered to drive. I am in the Air Force and I cannot travel to far away. If they recall me I have to be able to return within 8 hours, for that reason I bid knowing I would be able to retrieve the bike. If I promised someone I would do something I keep true to my word. I have driven over 28 hours to pick up a bike but it wasn't a scammer and I was on leave status. I just wanted to get the word out about my interactions with him.

Do not buy pistons from ophir4u they are advertised as fitting DT175's, they do not.
