The previous owner says :

Here is the story behind this 2.9 mile 1976 Yamaha DT100C as written by the owners. I am listing this bike for him.....

"KWWL IS A LOCAL TELEVISION STATION AND RADIO STATION IN WATERLOO, IOWA. I got this Yamaha DT100 from my cousin. He won it off KWWL. The station had a call in contest, they would give clues on air throughout a several week period. The first person to call in and guess the correct serial number by the clues given won the motorcycle. He was under the legal contest age limit so my uncle actually claimed the motorcycle. It was ridden from the motorcycle shop, Webers Cyle Center in Waterloo, Iowa to his home which was 1.8 miles. He took a spin around the neighborhood for the rest of the mileage that was put on the bike. The bike was parked in his garage with 2.7 miles and was never ridden again due to them having a baby and his wife not wanting him to ride. April 10th, 2018, it was rolled out of my uncles garage and titled to the current owner, myself."

The tank was rinsed of the old gas with fresh fuel added, petcock cleaned, and a new battery installed.

The original spark plug still had spark, we ran fresh gas through the carb and it started right up. It was ridden briefly around on the grass and a video was made and posted on youtube. Click on my link below. Everything works as it should.

Speedometer ready to turn to 3 actual total miles. Includes tool kit, owners manual, and warranty sheet.

This motorcycle is a true time capsule, it may be the lowest mileage 1976 Yamaha DT100C model in existence.

Battery has been replaced but everything else is original. There is some cracking and peeling on the clear coat on the side cases. Some mild surface rust on the foot pegs, rear brake lever, and cylinder jug. Also a very small chip on the front fender tip.

Tank has been drained of the old fuel and has new gas in it. Tank has very light rust inside.

Clear up to date title, and a copy of original title, and original Iowa 1976 license plate will be included.

Vin number and engine numbers are matching. They are 558-001125.
