Yep, that’s the one I saw. I’d try to get those split holes fixed if you get this one. There were a few in better condition but you’ll spend a little more to get them. I had to widen the holes a bit to get them to line up with the holes on the bottom level of the tree. You’ll use a few small bolt/ locknuts but it’s a solid mounting point.

So I was thinking - maybe it would be best of both worlds by going to a machine shop and getting some 28mm(?) Inner diameter and 30mm Outer Diameter rings made to they smaller forks can adapt to the bigger triple tree.

Slip them over the tubes, and tighten accordingly - its an option!

Theres also these on ebay - 30mm inner tubes with centralized axle - but I think I would need to throw the inners on a lathe and clean them up

and of course the aweful sticker X_X

nice bike, incredible price too!
I have a set of what I think are DT175 forks and triple trees - both 31mm -  that came on my junkyard DT400E.  Don't know if they will fit your bike or if they work, but they are incredibly clean as in zero rust under the boots.  I have these on eBay awaiting pent up demand to bust loose.  If you want these then PM me as I will willing to unload them for the price of shipping plus a good bottle of wine or bourbon.

Those DT175 forks and triples would be a nice upgrade for a DT100. Gauge mounts might be different

This would be awesome! I would be more then happy to send you both a bottle of wine & bourbon or cash equivalent!

I was worried about if the headlight brackets would fit - but then I realized I can most likely buy an adjustable set online!

Think there would be any issues with the bearing journal sizes?

Glad to help, pm me details, I can estimate shipping. Forks really look great, but I didn’t use so who knows, worst case you overhaul

what’s your front axle diameter?  I think these are 12mm which is why I also have headlight ears, a front wheel, front brake and axle for dt400e

The shop the bike is housed in opens on Tuesday - I would absolutely take them if the axle is different - especially the ears.

many thanks - this is gonna be one beefy front end

The clutch plates finally came in so now I can rebuild the clutch - but I'd like to wait until the engine covers are done getting powdercoated to install.

So between that and the tanks/fenders getting painted its a waiting game so I am going to replace the brakes and clutch cable.

A question for the brain trust - is there a preferred brand/seller of aftermarket rear shocks for these things?

After looking at my crusty set it doesnt exactly look serviceable.
