So I am on the hunt for an rt 180 front wheel off of a 95-98 model and have quickly run into the problem that the ones I can find are either beat to hell, expensive or often times both. In my search I started taking a look into ttr225 wheels from the early 00s as they are more common, use the same rotor and on paper would seem to share the same front hub as the rt180, however parts numbers do not match. I'm wondering if it may be something as simple as them being different colors is the reason for this or if differences are more than just skin deep. Anyone have any insight to share on this? I'd appreciate any info. I'm attaching a couple exploded views for reference.

Breakthrough! If I’m correct the last 4 digits of the hub’s part number correlate with the color so the rt180 hub is 4ANF5111(0098) and the ttr125 hub is 4ANF5111(1035). I’ve ordered a wheel off of eBay in order to confirm my theory. I’ll be sure to update this thread with future findings!

Thank you!  I love this kind of detective work.  Yamaha reused parts more often than not so chances are good you will have success!
