I am pretty much back online now. My cataract surgery seems to have yielded me even better results than my surgeon expected. One week after surgery and I am seeing both reading distance and to infinity and beyond at 20:20! The lenses are really amazing.
They do give you a bit of a halo around bright lights (like headlights) at night, but it is manageable, and more so with some yellow driving lenses. Otherwise, unless I am trying to read a really tiny type or something closer than about 5": from my nose, I am good.
I am not supposed to do anything too intense for a few more weeks, so off-road riding is off the table, but I did take my bicycle aound the neighborhood without issue.
In case you are up for this type of thing, I went with the Algon Panoptix lenses. They are generally not covered by your insurance, (the special lenses that is), so it was a good amount out-of-pocket. Single vision lenses are usually at no cost if you are insured.
Looking forward to a great future (literally!).

IF it isn't one thing, it's another.
