Sorry for a few hiccups on the site #1
I was up early for me this morning making a few tweaks to the site. Messed up a couple of settings - should be fixed now.

Working on finding a more readable forum template so you may see some intermittent appearance changes while I work off and on the next few days. Thanks.

Mako

Thanks for your work on this site. Looks like we are all spending a lot more time here recently.

The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

Sorry for a few hiccups on the site #8
Hi - I'm a newbie and just working my way around your great site. One thing I noticed is that if I click on another users profile name it takes me to what I believe is that users profile info page. Yet I am unable to see any of their bike images or info. Should I be able to see such things? I see the title "Details" yet if I mouse over it or click it it does nothing.
Hope you can help.

Welcome! You aren't doing anything wrong. The site had become too big and the owners had to disable some of the features... and some of features like contacting someone from their profile page don't work due to a problem with the software...

This is not a commercial site... it's a "labor of love" started and maintained by a few enthusiasts... and helped a little by donations to the site from some of us users... I'm pretty sure that even with donations most of the cost of running this place is being paid out of pocket by someone...

If it ever became commercial with ads and maybe fees... then I'm sure the features would be upgraded. I like it the way it is... :)

Thanks MarkT!

However, the feature mentioned does still work. If you click on my profile my bikes should appear. If someone’s bikes don’t show, they haven’t posted them up yet. Any profile field that is left blank doesn’t appear.

That feature is not as user friendly as I would like, but it does work.

The site is a constant work in progress, and was originally a proof of concept to see if we could entice a few members. We just passed 9,900 members last night! The site is also a testing ground for stuff I discover. Some end up staying, others don’t. I’m not a web designer, or programmer, just self taught, so sometimes the execution can be a bit clunky.

Thanks for the kind words though.
