Found this forum looking for parts for a project I'm working on. Glad it exists! I just swiped my dad's 1974 DT250A earlier today while he was at work and plan on restoring it for him. He's had it since before I was born (I'm 31 now). It's been sitting the past 16 years in his barn. Me and my 2 brothers learned to ride on this bike so it has a lot of sentimental value. When I was 15 we parked it because it lost spark and no one ever messed with it again. We all had newer bikes and then life of adulthood took over. I'll attach some pics of what I'm working with. Nice to meet all you guys here and glad to see so many ppl still have love for these things.

Welcome, good old bikes those & great you're going to resurrect it after all those years. Looks like it been store in fairly dry conditions. Son had one, same color, about 30+ years ago & i had a green 360 the same but we only used them as ride to work bikes back then. Cheers from way down under in NZ.

Here's a few more pics after a little tear down. Lots and lots of surface rust. :(

I tried to go the the service manual link and it's giving me an error page saying I'm not authorized to view it.

Welcome. You'll find lots of knowledgeable people glad to help here. Looks like you've got a good solid base to start with. Unfortunately chrome plating is ridiculously expensive. Start watching E-Bay for any of your heavily rusted parts.

Which internet browser are you using? It seems to be working for me on both google chrome and internet explorer.

Are you planning on restoring it as a road legal runner or a show bike. Are you on a tight budget or is the money flowing like Niagra Falls?
