Congrats on a great find.  I like the fact that you looked in the toolbox and found the tools.  When I looked in mine, I found a whole heap of trouble.

Welcome. You had an H1-500 in highschool. Trying to get my head around that--gosh!!. I rebuilt a crank on one at work in about "76 at work, wasn't easy but ended up good.
Good model 'that' DT125. You did well.
I have a rusty frame & parts i'm selling or dumping. A mate bought it just for the rear wheel only. Think i assembled it new at work back in "78 as it happens. Green tank & plastics on mine. I'm in NZ by the way.

Had tank listed separate as someone wanted to buy it but didn't happen or not yet.

Not sure how far I should take this
Went for a maiden run today and all good
The dents in the tank bother me
Should I fix the dents and do the decal?

And should i get a turn signal kit?

not sure where the links are

To me it really depends on how you're going to use it. Around town and for future resale...yes to all. A keeper primarily for off road use and an occasional trip to the grocery store...maybe skip the turn signals. Just something to break off. You'll probably love it more if you do freshen the tank back. With a garage as clean as yours is you'll be much happier if there are no dents and fresh paint and decals. A mechanic client of my said people take better care of their cars when they have the exact model and exact color they want. Seems logical to me.
