Hello from the UK #1
Just introducing myself to the forum, been on for a while but only just got round to posting!
So based in the UK I've now restored two bikes, a '78 XT500 and recently just finished a '75 DT250 so I sit between the 2-stroke and 4-stroke camps!
I have learned a huge amount doing the two bikes and this forum helped with a ton of problems so if I can give something back and share my experience I'll be a happy man!

I'm based near Sevenoaks and have a whole list of excellent small one man businesses from chromers/polishers, powder coaters to wheel builders and a rear shock restorer!
My first bike resto was a 1960 Triumph Tiger Cub - I'm sure I can be forgiven for that!

Can we see more of your XT500? I know there are mostly two strokes here but the four strokes are just as welcome!

Here's a pic of the XT, its a UK bike so numbers start with 1U6, do I prefer this to the DT250?, well they are completely different rides, the XT has a lot of grunt and feels more relaxed where the DT likes it in the 5k - 7k rev band so feels a bit more frantic.
Both great fun and both are keepers for me.
