I am hoping to be there tomorrow, I have been telling myself that I have allergies but a lot of sneezing and I did not have much luck getting one of my Yamahas running right. I always hate to come to Cal Dreamin without a Yamaha, but if I come tomorrow it may be with and Honda and a Husky.

Firewood, we don't need no stinking firewood.

It won't matter what you ride...Just get on out there !
We went yesterday, Scott ( T-Bone ) Super Dave ( The Greenie ) and myself. I rode a Honda 230 and those guys rode their Yamaha's .
Yamaha's, Honda's, Husky's, a Bultaco and a CZ were all there. What a GREAT Time it was!
My knees were bad from an accident a while back and a real problem. I was the " Sand Bag. " Slowed up the rides, so I mostly told them to go on and I would meet them back at camp after taking the kiddie trails back there. The Horror!
I felt bad for them all. Nobody wants to be the sand bag on a ride, let alone Ride with one.
Lance Speed asked me, " You came out here with bad knees??? What are you CRAZY !!! "
Guess I was.
But had a Great time in the process .Saw all my good ole friends too !
Now I am packed on ice like a fresh caught fish.
I'm taking the day off from honey-do lists.
Pictures? Let me download them.

pictures. Hungry Valley.

Leaving for the first ride of the day

Husky Dave and his picture perfect looking ride. Had a float problem but nothing the guys couldn't figure out. That MX sounded like it was on nitro methane. Loud is an understatement. Loved it !

Left to Right - Long Beach Randy, Dave Meis, Scott ( T-Bone ) and Super Dave ( The Greenie. )
weather was a bit cool for us flatlanders. But very Enjoyable.

Everybody getting ready for the 3rd ride of the day. ( L to R. ) Paul , Husky Dave , Scott and Lance.

More to come...

We all decided to use Lance's " El Mirage fire pit." Because it throws off more heat. The fire pits at the camp site have everyone else old fires and dirt in them so they don't breathe or give off much heat. Pretty much filled up 1/2 to 3/4 way up. The *W was picking up and would have blown it away from us. ( * ) We don't say wind in the desert because it will blow stronger and laugh at us.

The fire being enjoyed by ( L to R ) Greg, Paul , Super Dave and Lance

Beautiful night out there.
