Yes I am interested. That is the first photo of (part of) one I've seen. I've read about them. Maybe a good photo will show up :)

Frame is ready for paint, gas tank is mounted. I'm widening an old Van Tech seat to fit this frame right now. Still thinking of a color, maybe the blue paint Yamaha used on some of their racers.

I added a pic of widening the seat 1.5" & reshaping the front to fit the frame. I love everything about fiberglass but the fumes.......

I added a pic of the mounts I needed for the 4 gallon tank.

A little more progress, making my own rear sets, decided to go with a cable on the rear. Not finished, but working. I tape parts together to make them the same. The small cable bracket mounts on the rear brake plate. Off to my bud for some Tig work.

Here are the parts I'm using to make the clutch actuator. I removed a clutch actuator from an old Duc 900 when I added a hydraulic clutch. So after 15-20 years I still have it. So, re using it for this Yamaha. Off to the Tig & then I'll drill the mount holes & bush properly. In rough stage so no radius corners or finish yet.................Should be done in a day or so.

Nice to see some fabrication work using common tools! It helps others to see what is possible without a full-on machine shop!

Nice work.
IF it isn't one thing, it's another.

Thanks, once upon a time I had access to a mill, lathe, tig & the rest of the good stuff! Things went faster then. :) Now I have a good drill press, a belt/disk sander, a small bandsaw a cheap mig and some air tools. It sure takes a lot longer by hand but I can't really afford all those store bought parts that are available. So I just play the hand that was dealt.

Unfortunately, mostly from personal time consuming matters I had to cancel my trip to Utah in Sept 1 to race her 'cause this most likely won't be finished until late Sept. So next AHRMA available for me will be Willow Springs in '18.

Took the crank apart to stuff the wheels, vgc crank pin & brg. The crank should be back together monday. Still undecided on porting. I always did mine (years) before, but friends have told me what I knew is old skool & the new porting technique will smoke it, so looking for someone else to max her out. I've been doing other time consuming things like the clutch acutator and sanding & polishing nicked to hell outer cases! The PO had bored it with new piston but never started so all of that is good. I have all the brgs, seals & things so once I decide on who to port (I will be calling you), I'll throw this banger together & light her up.
