Need some inspiration was created by Dallasdt

Hey guys I have started the dismantling on my dt400 and I would like to see what other people have built. I haven’t been able to decide what direction or style of bike I want to built yet.
I just want to see some custom bikes so I can get some ideas thanks.

Put it back stock or don’t mess with it. Just what I would do.  You had to ask LOL.

If you decide to create your own custom bike, I encourage you to save all the stock pieces, and don't strip away or modify the wiring harness. Here is one of my bikes as purchased and then my creation.

I am with pedalcrazy, a purist who likes stock!  I also eschew complicated cocktails, perfecting quality liquor on ice.

Heres my dads bike,
he doesn't ride off-road much anymore
so he put an alloy swingarm, made a solo seat, and a small headlight fairingsorry for the bad pics

We used to have a “custom” sub group that many of belonged to… I think it went away when forum software changed or upgraded?

Anyway… it’s your bike, have fun with it!  If you are concerned at all about resale value, keep in mind “stock” is generally worth a lot more than “customized”. Doesn’t mean you can’t customize but maybe keep the stock parts and don’t do a bunch of irreversible stuff and you can always put it back to near stock someday if you want too…

Ya I posted this in the custom sub section. My plastics are faded, I’m missing a side panel, my tank is dented and leaking. I do not want to spend money sourcing plastics and I have a ktm for any off-road use. I got this thing because I had a rd and want another street legal 2 stroke. Google does Not come up with much at all just a bunch of stock bikes.
